I've only been to Asheville Mall once, back in '98 (Only time I ever saw a Montgomery Ward in person). Couldn't quite figure out why a mall that small (Only one floor) would have a parking deck.
It's on the side of a mountain, and the topography forces them to be creative with the mall design.
