Here's something decidedly different -- some old receipts from the anchor stores at SouthPark from the late '80s and early '90s. Original purchasers (Ron Jones/Heath Brown) have given complete permission to use copies of these on LiveMalls.

These have been reduced in size and altered to mask personal information.

  1. Looking at the Sears and Ivey's tickets, it's amazing how long receipts were 20 years ago.

Don't know how many people remember when Belk's charge receipts were actually printed on blue ("Belk-blue") paper. There was a different color for every type of transaction.

  2. I remember that well. Blue for regular charge, yellow for employees, red for returns. Mom worked for Leggett during this era, and the system was identical.

Mr. Brown was apparently a Pacesetter. They used to receive enhanced discounts back in the day.
