Due to its location at the back of Bloomingdale's, near the GA 400, Marta and freight rail lines, it's probably *not* any substantial retail expansion. A bird's eye overview of this general location from Windows Live probably shows this as some type of drive through bank ATM station.
Ok, I know I'm like 3 years late on this, but this addition dates back to 1985 when the store was still Davison's (and just before the name change to Macy*s in '86). It's interesting because it seems like in 1985-86, Both Davison's (currently Bloomingdale's) and Rich's (currently Macy*s) at Lenox built these additions that are completely mismatched to the original building to house their respective Men's Departments.
Is this building being renovated in this picture? Looks like a construction area in the front part of the picture.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, I've never been to this mall, so I couldn't tell you anything about current construction.

ReplyDeleteThanks for the info, Nitek.
