  1. Gawd, it's monolithic. However, it *does* look like a traditional department store building.

  2. This store is a variation on Belk's "Disco Chateau" (my words) exterior design. It was utilized in several locations throughout the chain. I think it is particularly effective here.

  3. Interesting pic. I looked in your Belk Archive, and I think this exterior design was pulled off a little bit better with the Tanglewood Mall store. (guessing the exterior was kept after the store switched from Leggett to Belk)

    Still, it isn't a bad design, though. I like this one somewhat.

  4. The exterior at Tanglewood looks almost exactly the same as Belk as it did as Leggett, and I agree, it's a better iteration there.

  5. The new logo really looks weird on the old store. I can't put my finger on it, but it makes the store look far more drab and boxy. Painting over to hide the labelscar did not help, either.
