Boscov's had a serious cash crunch which forced some quick action.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if they would have gone through with Richmond anyway. The Danville store didn't do too well according to internal sources at Boscov's, and I think the only thing that could have bolstered the results would have been several stores in the region to build brand recognition. That would have required some serious cash for something that still might not have worked.
I was thinking about Boscov's today, and I'm disappointed that despite being so close I never got the chance to visit this store. It's a shame.
