  1. This has to be one of the nicest JCPs I've seen. However, the logo looks awfully small on such a large expanse of wall. I assume this is a large two-story store? Sure looks that way from the outside.

    Overall this mall doesn't look half-bad. What happened to the Dillard's?

  2. It's a two story store, pretty good sized one at that. I think the sign size was restricted by local ordinances, as it does look a little small.

    The Dillard's started off in the old Hess's/Proffitt's, and expanded into the old Leggett/Belk after Belk pulled out of the market. Sales were not strong as a double-header, so Dilllard's at first scaled back to the larger former Belk store. Sales never picked up, so they closed at Chesterfield in 2008.
